Glorantha Perspectives was designed with Regard, an experimental game-design framework that grew out of the work gathered in Resonance.

Regard provides the game-design framework used to build this game. Resonance gathers the broader work from which Regard emerged, with Glorantha Perspectives as one concrete application.

These projects are linked here for anyone who wants to discover the ideas behind the game. You do not need to read them to play Glorantha Perspectives. The game is self-contained: all rules and procedures required for play must be explained on this site and in its publications.

License and reuse​

Glorantha Perspectives is published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license is deliberately open: you may copy, share, translate, modify, adapt, remix, integrate, or reuse the game, its texts, and its mechanics, including in other projects and for commercial purposes.

The essential condition is attribution: when you reuse Glorantha Perspectives, credit the game Glorantha Perspectives and its author AleaScript. Where applicable, CC BY also requires a reference to the license and an indication of whether the original material was modified.

A simple attribution may for example read: “Based on Glorantha Perspectives, by AleaScript, licensed under CC BY.”

The intent is simple: use the game, transform it, improve it, translate it, build with it. Attribution simply preserves the trace of where your work came from.

Use with artificial intelligence​

This freedom explicitly includes artificial-intelligence tools. You may submit this publication, in whole or in part, to an AI system in order to analyze, query, summarize, or translate it; prepare or run a game; produce play aids; experiment with variants; create derivative content; or for any other use compatible with the license.

This is not a separate special permission beyond the license: it is simply an explicit confirmation that the author considers these uses part of the reuse permitted by CC BY.

The Glorantha Perspectives license applies to material that its author can place under CC BY; it does not alter the status of trademarks or works owned by third parties.

Roadmap​

Glorantha Perspectives already contains everything needed to play.

Future development is mainly about providing more material that can be used directly at the table: examples, Situations, cults, spirits, practices, myths, and other aids that make it faster to turn what Gloranthan lore already tells us into play.

Five areas are currently being expanded:

  • Theism — more cults, myths, practices, and examples for recognizing what may matter in Situations and Bets;
  • Animism — more spirits, traditions, spiritual relationships, and directly playable aids;
  • Mysticism — more paths, practices, and examples for bringing its different forms to life in Glorantha;
  • Logic — more schools, knowledge, methods, and situations in which this Worldview can enter play;
  • Situations — more ready-to-play starting points across different cultures, regions, and periods of Glorantha.

This Roadmap therefore does not describe missing rules. It shows where the corpus is meant to become richer, more concrete, and more immediately useful at the table.
