Session 2
Played on September 14, 2026.
Estimated play time: about 2 hours.
The day after Tal's first investigation in Jonstown, Karest has survived and can finally speak. But before the official interview, Tal takes an unexpected risk on his own: unable to sleep, he returns at night to prowl around the House of Peace and overhears a spontaneous statement from the wounded man.
The session then carries Tal to the end of the Beren/Karest affair: questioning without turning testimony into proof, handing the facts over to the clan representatives, and discovering that a Sage's work is not to decide for others what they should do with an incomplete truth.
Four ways to read the session
- Transcript — the game in its real order: Tal/Time exchanges, Focus, Bets, rolls, and table corrections. The game was played in French; this page is an English translation of the original transcript.
- Story — the story alone, for following Tal without the game procedures.
- Time Backstage — the prepared Situation, what emerged, what was improvised, and Time's rulings.
- Living Portrait — Talimar exactly as he exists at the end of this session.
Time Backstage reveals the preparation and intentions behind this session. It does not reveal threads that remain secret for future sessions.
