Hanya is a somewhat unusual guardian because she doesn't have the moon rune. However, it doesn't matter, she is totally committed. For her, the Red Moon is more an object of fear and coercion to impose civilization. She has not been initiated into the inclusive mysteries.
Not gifted for construction like some of her sisters, she grasped its essence through her ability to "see the long term," as if she could feel the plans unfolding.

Exalted warrior woman devoted to the cause of the Goddess and her Conquering Daughter, Hwarin Dalthippa who saw in vision the Orlanthi defeat a lunar army. Somewhat apart among the Sisters, she was working on the inclusion of the Moon rune which she had tattooed on her forehead but didn't succeed nonetheless. Her vision later distanced her from the ongoing teachings.
