Living Portrait

This Portrait represents Edkored exactly at the end of Session 0. It remains a snapshot: later sessions will have their own Portraits so that the Protagonist's evolution stays visible.

“As long as there is air to breathe, there is hope.”

Edkored — man, in his thirties — Orlanthi theist.

Runes

Air — freedom and responsibility

Edkored recognizes himself in Air as a power of freedom and responsibility. It is not only the wind that blows: it is also an infinite source of energy, the very breath of Orlanth, and the condition of hope.

Movement — seizing the opening

Movement expresses his deep nature: leaving when the call comes, seizing opportunity, moving forward without becoming stuck. But the Rune also includes the patience and endurance of one who has survived several years as an outlaw.

Death — gravity and duty

Death grows within him as the tragic memory of Orlanth's trials. Edkored links it to the moment when the god brought Death into the world to strike down the Emperor. It gives him gravity, a sense of duty, and the awareness of belonging, like the survivors of the Great Darkness, to a lineage that endures despite despair.

Life chapters

Solitary adept of Orlanth

  • traditional sword and shield;
  • knows how to prepare and apply protective blue woad;
  • emerging flight techniques, calling lightning, thunderstones;
  • reference myth: Orlanth kills the Emperor with Death during the Fourth Test.

The Wind Maquis

  • sparse, furtive life in desolate hills;
  • uninterrupted martial and magical training;
  • network of outcasts: Yinkini, Kolati, shepherds.

Traces and new elements — Session 0

Alynx fetish

A pierced fang attached to a braid of horsehair, dropped by a raven of Orlanth. It resonates with Wind magic and helped calm a sacred beast of Yinkin.

The Hunt

The Tarshite light infantry patrol knows that a wielder of lightning is roaming the Dogbone hills.

The Mudhens' Debt

Edkored saved Vorlak at the last moment through a miraculous Feat. Gringolf offered him hospitality and is taking him toward Orstalor Spearlord's hidden crannog.
